Wal-Mart has announced that it plans to offer free online classifieds to compete directly with sites like Craigslist.org and many other fee-free listing services. According to The Wall Street Journal, Wal-Mart will launch its beta program with almost 30 million items, which will include everything from foreclosed homes to concert tickets. The retailers web application is anticipated to reach over 5 million viewers each month.
